RSA Conference Awards

Winners will be announced during the keynote sessions at RSA® Conference 2012 in San Francisco, California, on Tuesday, February 28, 2012.

Established in 1998, the RSA Conference Awards are presented to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of individuals in the field of cryptography, public policy and information security. Review previous award winners.

We acknowledge excellence in three categories:

Excellence in the Field of Mathematics
The RSA Conference Award for Mathematics recognizes innovation and ongoing contribution to the field of cryptography. The judging committee, coordinated by RSA Laboratories, seeks to acknowledge those nominees who are pioneers in their field, and whose work has applied lasting value. Nominees should be affiliated with universities or research labs.

Excellence in the Field of Public Policy
The RSA Conference Award for Public Policy is designed to recognize significant contribution and leadership in the field of cyber security public policy. The judging committee seeks to reward nominees who hold elected or appointed office, are associated with public interest organizations or are associated with an organization that has significantly contributed to the development or application of current information security and/or privacy policy.

Excellence in the Field of Security Practices
The RSA Conference Award for Excellence in the Field of Security Practices recognizes outstanding achievement in the practice of security within an organization. This award is co-sponsored and judged by the Executive Security Action Forum (ESAF), an association of chief information security officers and other senior executives responsible for protecting information for Global 1000 companies and government agencies. The judging committee seeks to recognize a security practitioner for their outstanding security program or initiative which has made significant contributions to improving the security posture and business processes at their organization.
